By adding the Auxiliary Air Intake any restrictions caused by the snorkel are completely eliminated. The standard V3 Is plenty for stock vehicles, and adds a custom high performance under hood look. The V3 filter and lid are designed to handle 450 hp, but ultimately the snorkel is the limiting factor. It did not happen overnight but the V3 is without a doubt the best looking, highest flowing, cold air intake available for the 2.7 L Eco-Boost Edge. The dual cones pulled the hot air in from underneath the hood and actually reduced overall performance once the engine was hot. Starting with a blank sheet of paper I tried all kinds of combinations Including dual cone air filters. So I set out to do something about what they couldn’t or wouldn’t do, and created the V3 CAI. The mounting depth is very shallow 3 1/2" Wanted to check out what was in there currently. I'll be upgrading my 2019 Bang & Olufsen sub in the near future.
